Question: What in the world is an Intergraphic?
Answer: It’s an image or photo that you can interact with.
I don’t know if I coined the phrase or not (probably not….most likely not), but I did pull out all kinds of creativity and smushed together the words “interactive” and “graphic”… okay fine, so it wasn’t all that creative.
But I digress.
Below is an example of an Intergraphic I created using text boxes. I created it using a relatively new company called ThingLink. They have a nice WordPress plugin I used to create the below Intergraphic. So what can you add to your images to turn them into a more fun, social-sharing, Facebook-liking, Pinning, Tweeting piece of content?
You can tag any part of your image with:[list style=”check”]
- Youtube videos (watch videos in your graphic)
- Vimeo videos
- SoundCloud (listen to songs in your graphic)
- Amazon products (you can make purchases from Amazon)
- Ebay products
- Etsy products
- and more
I “jazzed up” an image on the Moz post Mega SERP and turned it into the below Intergraphic. If you are interested in SEO and how changes with Google affect how we market online then you should check out the above post by Moz’s Dr Pete.
